Sunday October 28, 2001

Evening:

Kevin gave a brief introductory lecture at the Citta Boy Scout Camp.

  • This class is all about restoring balance

  • There isn't a single landscape or ecosystem on the entire planet that is in balance. Everything has been impacted by the activities of humans

  • The Caretaker's job is to return these landscapes to their natural balance

  • Caretaking involves physical and spiritual skills in what is essentially a 3-step process:

    1. diagnose the problem

    2. plan what to do to heal

    3. do it

  • According to Stalking Wolf, the key role of humans is to heal the Earth.

For pictures of the Citta Boy Scout Camp please visit the Wildwood Survival website, Pine Barrens section.
