Caretaking activity at the Tracker Primitive Camp (Page 1 of 4)
 
One of the things that Tom Brown asked the class to do was to thin out or remove the broadleaf shrubs that were choking out the young cedars.
 
In some cases, the group working on a particular area felt that it was necessary to remove quite a number of the shrubs.
 
 
 
 
 
Tom emphasized that a lot of the slash left over from the logging operations be cleared away from the young cedar trees. This was so that they could reach up towards the sun better, and grow straight and tall.
