Afternoon:
Caretaking activity at the Tracker Primitive Camp (Page 2 of 4)
 
Apparently a small stream used to run through this area.  It dried up after the clearcut operations. More sun was able to hit the ground, thus drying the ground out, and causing the stream to disappear.

In this picture the material removed from the old stream bed is piled up. 

  
 
  
In some cases, the group working an area felt it necessary to remove all plants other than the young cedars.
  
Huge piles of brush were created.

Afterwards there was some debate about the quantity of material removed.
