The 2000 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
This shows what a very recent cut looks like.
No caretaking work has yet been done on this
section. |

|
The 1999 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
There are many young cedars springing up, about
1-2 feet high. Plus a lot of blueberry and dogwood, and other
shrubs.
This picture shows Nov 2001 Caretaker class
students at work. They removed some of the slash left over from
logging, trimmed out broadleaf shrubs, and opened up a small stream
channel. |

|
The 1998 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
This picture shows Nov 2001 Caretaker class
students at work.
In this section they removed some of the slash
left over from logging and trimmed out broadleaf shrubs. |

Another picture of the
1998 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
This picture was taken prior to the Caretaker
class of Nov 2001, and deeper in from the road than the above
picture.

|
The 1996 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
The Caretaker class of Feb 1998 worked on this
section.
Note the height of the cedars, and how thick and
vigorous the growth is! |
|
|
|
The 1984 cut section.
Picture taken in 2001.
No caretaking work has been done on this
section.
Compare this to the 1996 section (above). Note
that there are very few cedars of any height here, even though it
was cut 12 years before the 1996 section! |
|
|
|
I do not have any pictures
of the 1972 cut section.
No caretaking work has been done on this section. |
